We are looking for the area schools and communities to take part in making cards for our troops. We are working with the National Guard Armory in New Albany, and we are asking schools, groups, organizations, etc to get involved and help support our troops by making cards to send overseas to our hometown heroes. Soldiers really enjoy receiving cards especially from our youth when they are away from their families.

Here's some details about the cards for our troops if you are interested:

 -Paper will be supplied to the school/group for the cards by a local business.

-Someone will be picking up the cards from the schools/groups on Friday, November 9th.

-There will be 25 finalists chosen from all the submitted cards, which will all receive a ribbon

 The top winners will be voted on by the public during the festival and awarded at the closing ceremony on Sunday.

-Cards need to have the student name and class or group name and school

-Teacher or Group Leader will need to complete a contact sheet, so we can notify the finalists.

-Finalists will be listed on the Festival website and their cards will be displayed at the festival

-Flyers about the event will be provided to send home to parents if needed.
